Earlier this week I photographed a Malibu City Guide for Jenni Kayne, and I wanted to share some of the shots with you guys! Jenni Kayne and her team recently renovated a 1957 airstream and filled it with all of the magic of their new home collection. You can read more about it here. They kicked off their tour in Malibu, and I had the honor of photographing their City Guide!
We started the day off with some delicious juices from Sunlife Organics in the Malibu Country Mart. Then we ventured up into the the mountains of Malibu to spend some time getting to know the folks at One Gun Ranch, a biodynamic farm that provides organic produce for many of the local restaurants and markets in Malibu. One Gun Ranch also serves as a haven for rescue animals. I was blown away by the stunning 25 acre property which offers retired race horses a space to roam with an ocean view. It was so amazing to spend some time in the garden as well as with the animals. Witnessing the life that these majestic creatures live, surrounded by nature and kindness was a complete dream. They offer some volunteer opportunities, and I’m planning to look into that more for my kiddos. You can read more about the work that they do here.
After leaving the ranch, we headed to Malibu Pier for the yummiest lunch with the loveliest view. Malibu Farm is one of my favorite spots in LA, and it was the perfect place to spend the rest of the afternoon soaking up the beautiful beach scene. Check out the shots from the day below. Thanks for having me Jenni Kayne!
